Football History
Played football from the age of 8 yrs & it was at the age of 13 I started to play my football as a goalkeeper, being identified & recruited into the Southampton FC Youth Academy. While not quite making the professional ranks, I continued my career playing the majority of the time Semi Professionally in the GM Conference & Berger Isthmian Leagues in the UK with a short spell in the National League in New Zealand, until injury cut short my senior playing career.
I continued to be involved in football by coaching several senior district league squads & performing specialized goalkeeping sessions.
Upon making the decision to migrate to Australia with my family, arriving in 1992, I started coaching junior squads to pass down some of my experience to the development of juniors in Western Australia but also specializing in goalkeeper training. I also spent several seasons coaching junior A grade basketball.

Development Ethos
In preparing & delivering Goalkeeper development programs for elite high performing Junior & Senior GK’s , is of course rewarding in itself however working with junior Goalkeepers at grass routes & seeing them develop to that next level or grade no matter where, is just as exciting
Why do we need specialist GK coaching ….
The Goalkeeper position is widely accepted & acknowledged as the most technical & demanding position within the team however at an early age our coaching fraternity will place the person who is not the most athletic , dedicated or skillful ……in GOAL ….. & then do not give them any special coaching !!!
To Be Goalkeeper
Natural Talent is not a gift , the individual who is disciplined to practices more than anybody else, understands the techniques & the need to use them, more than anybody else, will see their actions & decisions while playing as a Goalkeeper become better than anybody else…..Instinct / Good Habbits
